Investigated the effects of lithium on recurrent laryngeal nerve regeneration after crush injuries in rats. Studied the pre- and postprandial hemodynamic changes of the superior mesenteric artery using duplex ultrasonography. Results confirmed an increase in peak-systolic and end-diastolic velocities, and a loss of end-systolic flow reversal in the postprandial state. Presented two posters at the Experimental Biology Conference in San Diego, CA.
